Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about how Credit Simplicity helps businesses get bank financing.

Questions and answers

What does Credit Simplicity do?

Credit Simplicity is an AI-first commercial and industrial (C&I) business loan advisor in Orange County, California. We prepare a lender-ready loan package, take it to multiple banks at once, and help you compare competing term sheets through closing.

Is Credit Simplicity a lender?

No. We are an advisor, not a lender. Loans are made by banks, and all financing is subject to each bank’s own credit approval.

What types of business loans do you help with?

Bank working capital lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, owner-occupied commercial real estate loans, SBA 7(a) loans, and refinancing away from an existing bank.

Who is a good fit?

Established operating businesses, typically with two or more years of history and positive cash flow, seeking bank financing. We are based in Orange County and work with businesses across California.

How does the process work?

Six steps: Application, Documents, Underwriting review, Lender matching, Term sheet, and Closing. Each step is driven by email, and you get an update at every stage. See the full process.

How do I apply?

Start with the two-minute form at Get started. You get an email right away with a link to complete your application by talking with our AI assistant (voice or text, about 15 minutes, no sign-in), in the optional portal, or by returning the PDF application.

What is the AI voice application?

A conversational assistant that asks the application questions by voice or text and fills in the application as you go. It is optional; you can use the portal form or the PDF instead.

Do I have to use the online portal?

No. The portal is optional. You can work with us entirely by email and phone.

What documents will I need?

Usually three years of business tax returns, interim financial statements, A/R and A/P agings, a debt schedule, and personal tax returns and financial statements for owners of 20% or more. You get a personalized checklist. See our document checklist guide.

How do I send documents?

Reply to our checklist email with the files attached (PDF, photos, Excel or Word), or upload them in the portal. Each item is checked off automatically.

How long does it take?

It depends on the request and how quickly documents arrive. Our process is designed to move fast: AI handles paperwork and analysis quickly, and a complete package lets banks respond sooner. Real estate and SBA loans typically take longer than simple lines or equipment loans.

Why go to multiple banks?

Banks differ in credit appetite, policy and pricing. Presenting your request to several banks at once lets you compare real term sheets instead of waiting on one bank’s answer.

What rates can I expect?

We do not quote rates. Pricing is set by each bank based on your business, the loan structure, collateral and market conditions. You compare actual term sheets before deciding.

Do you work with SBA loans?

Yes. We evaluate whether an SBA 7(a) or a conventional bank loan fits better and present to banks accordingly. See SBA 7(a) vs. conventional.

Can you help me leave my current bank?

Yes. Refinancing away from a bank relationship that is not working is one of the most common reasons businesses contact us.
